One of Canada's most wanted arrested

Canada's fifth most wanted fugitive was arrested with the help of the Windsor Police Service this week.

Philip Grant was charged in connection to two homicides that happened in January 2022 by the Toronto Police Service.

Two men, Minyali Wur, 24, and Chudier Reat, 20, were shot and killed in Etobicoke.

Grant was located and arrested in Mississauga by members of the Provincial ROPE Squad and the Windsor Police Service, with assistance from the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force.

He is facing charges of second-degree murder, possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a firearm contrary to order.

Windsor Police say he is also facing multiple charges in connection to a shots-fired incident in Windsor on June 29, 2024.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
