Police conduct another raid at downtown dispensary

The Windsor Police Service seized over $20,000 in illegal drugs during its fifth raid of a magic mushroom dispensary in downtown Windsor.

Officers from the Drugs and Guns Unit searched the storefront on Ouellette Avenue just after 4 p.m. Monday.

They seized 3,440 psilocybin capsules, 318.7 grams of dried psilocybin, 250 psilocybin-infused gummies, 53 psilocybin-infused chocolate bars, seven psilocybin-infused vape cartridges, and $3,320 in Canadian money.

A 20-year-old employee was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

In four previous raids between July 2023 and April 2024 police seized over $140,000 of psilocybin-infused products.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
