Police arrest scissor-wielding suspect accused of robbery

A 35-year-old woman faces charges of robbery with an offensive weapon and failure to comply with release orders after an armed robbery on Tuesday.

Police were called to the business on Tecumseh Road West near Ouellette Avenue just after 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday after a woman confronted workers with a pair of scissors.

Once the workers gave her cash from the register, she punched one of them before fleeing on foot.

Police arrested the suspect soon after and recovered the stolen money.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
