Detroit Lions drone show postponed to Saturday evening

With snow forecast for this evening, the City of Windsor has postponed the Detroit Lions Drone Show to Saturday night.

The spectacle was to start at 7 p.m. on Friday from the Riverfront Festival Plaza. It will now go ahead on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The show is "viewable from various locations across the city," but the best spot will be downtown Windsor.

Since the drones will take off from Riverfront Festival Plaza, the facility will be closed during the display.

Other activities to cheer on the Detroit Lions as they fight to win a berth at the Super Bowl will go ahead on Friday, including the raising of the Detroit Lions flag at Windsor City Hall at 10:30 a.m. and the "We Want More" Detroit Lions bus activation tour at 12:30 p.m. from Caesars Windsor.

Organizers of the drone show are closely watching weather conditions.
