Driver killed in east Windsor crash

Windsor police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash in east Windsor.

Just after midnight Monday, officers were called to the intersection of Wyandotte Street East and Raymo Road. Investigators determined the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Wyandotte Street when it struck a traffic pole.

The 37-year-old driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Wyandotte Street East from Dawson Road and Westminister Boulevard was closed to traffic through the morning commute while the Windsor Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit conducted their investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact the Windsor Police Service.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
