Vehicle strikes parked car and a house in Leamington

A Leamington homeowner got an abrupt awakening early Sunday morning when a vehicle struck their home.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to the house on Sutton Drive just after 2:30 a.m. after a vehicle struck the home and a parked vehicle.

When officers arrived, the driver tried to flee but was arrested, instead.

No one was hurt.

A 22-year-old man faces impaired driving charges and will make an appearance in the Ontario Court of Justice on January 29.

Police also suspended their license for 90 days and impounded the vehicle for a week.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
