Windsor police seize large amount of fentanyl

Over $20,000 worth of fentanyl was recently seized by Windsor Police.

Last Sunday, officers recovered a stolen vehicle on Ypres Avenue. They later obtained video surveillance showing a man using the vehicle.

On Thursday, the police found the man believed to be in the video and arrested him at a home on Glengarry Avenue.

During the arrest, officers found over 81 grams of fentanyl.

The 55-year-old man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
