Police look to identify homicide suspect

Windsor police are trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection to a homicide near downtown Windsor Monday.

Police were called to Wyandotte Street near Mercer Street around 7 a.m. and found 53-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

Investigators believe the man was shot after a verbal fight with a man.

The man is described as mixed-race, about 5'3" to 5'5" tall with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he had his hair pulled back in braids and was wearing a black North Face brand jacket and black pants with a reflective strip along the thigh. He was later seen with his braids removed wearing a blue hooded sweater, black pants, and red shoes.

Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
