One injured in collision that resulted in vehicle fire

Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a crash that resulted in a vehicle fire in Tecumseh.

Police said they first received reports of the crash near the intersection of Walker Road and Highway 3 just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

When first responders arrived, police said they observed two vehicles, one of which was on fire.

The OPP confirmed in a release that good Samaritans removed one driver from their vehicle before any serious injuries were sustained.

One driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second driver was not hurt.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
