Here's what Tecumseh named its snow plows

It's halfway through the winter, and snow plows in Tecumseh now have names.

"The enthusiasm and creativity shown by our residents has been incredible," said Tecumseh's Manager of Public Works, Kirby McArdle. "These names add a personal touch to our fleet and celebrate the connection between the Town and the community we serve."

Residents submitted hundreds of suggestions over the past few months, and while some expressed heartfelt tributes to Tecumseh's heritage and landmarks, others were witty puns appropriate for the season.

Once town staff chose the best suggestions, town residents voted on their favourites.

The winners are Buzz Iceclear, CTRL-SALT-DELETE, Plowasaurus Rex, Frostimus Prime, Plowzilla, Plowabunga, and Sleetwood Mac.

Town councillors were the first to learn of the names at their meeting on Tuesday night.

The winners will be invited to a Meet a Machine event in the spring.
