Meeting planned by Windsor council to discuss U.S. tariffs

Windsor’s council will be holding a special meeting to discuss potential ways to respond to the U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods.

Councillor Kieran McKenzie made the request.

“Municipalities have the opportunity to use their procurement power to effectively address these unnecessary and harmful protectionist measures imposed by the United States,” he said.

An exact time and whether the public can attend the meeting was not specified, however, it will happen on Monday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled
