Windsor Fire and Rescue say crews were called before noon to the home on Kennedy Drive West off McGraw Avenue, not far from Roseland Golf Club.
The fire was eventually put out and an investigator spent much of the afternoon looking into the cause, which was accidental.
No injuries were reported.
The damage is estimated at $100,000.
Police are on scene at a disturbance in Kettle & Stony Point First Nation.
