Windsor police re-arrest man on bail violations

A 50-year-old man already facing multiple charges has been arrested again for allegedly flaunting bail.

Windsor police first arrested the man in October 2024 on nine counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited, three counts of possession of stolen property, and two counts of drug possession with intent to sell.

He was also charged with one count apiece of unlicenced possession of a firearm, failure to comply with an order, and breach of probation.

Bail conditions were imposed, which included electronic monitoring and house arrest.

Compliance officers soon learned that the man had violated bail conditions, tracked him down, and arrested him with the help of the OPP-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad.

The man is now facing an additional charge of failure to comply.

The charges have not been proven in court.
