Police seize nearly $27K of illicit drugs

A 44-year-old is facing charges after a drug trafficking investigation by the Windsor Police Service.

On Wednesday, police officers located and arrested a suspect in the area of Dominion Boulevard and Northwood Street.

Officers seized 7.5 grams of cocaine, $410 in cash, and two cellphones.

A search of a home on Hansen Crescent resulted in the seizure of 2,117 tablets of 5mg oxycodone, 200 tablets of 80mg oxycodone, $6,000 in cash, drug packaging materials, and a digital scale.

The total value of drugs seized was $26,660.

The suspect was charged with multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
