CBSA officers arrest attempted murder suspect

Canada Border Service Agency officers arrested a man wanted for attempted murder.

Windsor Police wanted the 28-year-old in connection to a targeted shooting at a house party on Birch Street on January 26, 2025.

On Wednesday, Tyrin John Taylor was arrested at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel.

He faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, pointing a firearm, discharging a firearm with the intent to endanger life, intentionally discharging a firearm while being reckless to life, and possession of a prohibited firearm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
