Circle of Seven donates $66,000 to community organizations

The Circle of Seven supported over 20 community organizations through its annual fundraising events.

The organization of seven like minded community members raised over $66,000 through the John Ferguson Charity Golf Tournament and the Denim & Diamonds Gala.

The funds are the distributed to organizations that made grant applications throughout the year.

"Organizations that are doing good for others, individuals that are in need and those that are in the areas of sports, culture, human resources, and those that don't receive a lot of support from other agencies," said President Tony Haddad.

Organizations ranged from the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Windsor International Film Festival to the Windsor Essex Humane Society and Ariya's Hot Chocolate.

The John Ferguson Charity Golf Tournament at Essex Golf Club is held in June every year while the Denim & Diamonds Gala takes place in November.
