Impaired driving charges follow Hwy. 401 crash

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged a 57-year-old Windsor man with impaired driving after a crash on Hwy. 401 earlier this month.

The OPP responded to the single-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of the highway in Lakeshore just before 1:30 p.m. on February 2.

No one was hurt.

The driver was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs or alcohol and operation of a motor vehicle while over the legal blood alcohol concentration limit.

The man will also lose his license to drive for 90 days while his vehicle is impounded for a week.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Tuesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
