Pair of impaired drivers arrested in Lakeshore

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two people suspected of impaired driving, following two separate traffic stops.

The first stop was just before 8 p.m. on Monday on Gracey Side Road in Lakeshore when police looked into a traffic complaint.

A 56-year-old Wheatley man is charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.

He was released with a date set for February 25 in a Windsor court.

The second took place shortly before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on County Road 22, also in Lakeshore.

A 34-year-old Windsor man was also charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.

He was released with a court date set for February 20.

Both drivers have had their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
