Suspicious fire under investigation

Windsor police are investigating a suspicious fire on Tecumseh Road East near Howard Avenue.

Emergency services arrived just before 10 a.m. on Monday, where they found a commercial building in flames and a gasoline can at the scene.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported, but the building sustained extensive damage.

Investigators ask nearby residents and businesses to check their surveillance footage between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. for possible evidence.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
