Police recover $7,500 worth of stolen music equipment

A 40-year-old man is facing charges after a rental truck full of music equipment was stolen earlier this month.

Around 11 p.m. on February 3, the victim was unloading the rental truck on Janette Avenue when an unknown man entered the truck and drove it away.

Investigators found the truck the next day on Langlois Court.

The Windsor Police Auto Theft unit identified a suspect and completed a search at a garage on South Pacific Avenue. They recovered speakers, LED light,s and other music equipment totalling around $7,500.

The items were returned to the victim.

On February 18, officers located and arrested the 40-year-old suspect. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft exceeding $5,000, possession of stolen property, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
