Accused Windsor man arrested on bail violations

Windsor police have picked up a 26-year-old man who was on bail for suspected drug trafficking.

The man was first arrested in December 2024 by the Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit as part of its wide-reaching Project Kraken. A search of his vehicle uncovered two kilograms of cocaine, 356 grams of fentanyl, three cell phones, drug packaging materials, and $950 in cash.

He was released on bail and ordered to house arrest and electronic monitoring, but police soon learned he was allegedly violating his terms.

Bail compliance officers arrested the man on Wednesday on South Cameron Boulevard off Tecumseh Road West.

He was charged with one count of failure to comply with a release order and remanded into custody pending a new bail hearing.

The charges have not been proven in court.
