CBSA busy with weapons seizures at tunnel and bridge

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) agents in Windsor collected a large haul of weapons being brought over the border last week.

In several separate instances, weapons were confiscated from American travellers at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel and the Ambassador Bridge. Weapons and ammunition were also confiscated at the Peace Bridge in Niagara Falls.

In total, agents seized three firearms, eight magazines, and two sets of brass knuckles.

Officers also seized 14.4 grams of suspected cocaine and 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamines.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
