Impaired driving after crash in Lakeshore

A 24-year-old Tecumseh driver faces impaired driving charges after a crash in Lakeshore early Friday morning.

The Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call about a vehicle in a ditch on Patillo Road around 3:20 a.m.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on March 7 after he was charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired and operation of a motor vehicle while being over the legal blood-alcohol limit.

The OPP suspended the driver's license for 90 days and impounded his vehicle for a week.

The OPP reminds the public to call 911 if they suspect a driver behind the wheel is impaired by drugs or alcohol.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
