Sixth suspect arrested in Windsor break-and-enter ring

Windsor police have arrested the sixth suspect connected to a series of commercial thefts.

Between January 28 and February 13, officers responded to four thefts and break-ins at retail businesses.

In two cases, the suspects used tools to smash their way in. In the rest of them, the suspects entered the store, selected items, and left without paying.

The suspects took approximately $8,000 worth of merchandise, including fragrances.

Five of the six suspects were arrested and charged, but on Monday, Windsor police arrested a 23-year-old woman on Dougall Avenue near Eugenie Street West.

She faces one count of theft under $5,000.

The charges have not been proven in court.
