Police investigating armed robbery

Windsor police are looking for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery at a west-end business.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. Thursday on Campbell Avenue between Wyandotte Street and College Avenue.

Investigators say a woman entered the business armed with a handgun, threatened the employee, and demanded cash. She took off with money, cigarettes, and lighters.

No physical injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a woman wearing a black hooded coat, black pants, black shoes, grey gloves, a grey face mask, and carrying a red shopping bag. The handgun was black and grey.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area to review surveillance footage between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. for possible evidence.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
