Traffic stop leads to arrest in Kingsville

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a Kingsville resident following a Monday night traffic stop.

An officer conducted a stop on Division Street South in Kingsville shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

The 33-year-old has been charged with impaired driving, driving with excessive blood-alcohol level, driving without a licence, and two counts of failure to stop for a stop sign.

The driver's vehicle will be impounded for seven days, and the licence will be suspended for 90 days.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
