UPDATE: Suspect wanted in stabbing surrenders to police

Windsor police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a weekend stabbing at a downtown nightspot.

Officers were called at around 1 a.m. on Saturday to Ouellette Avenue near Maiden Lane and found a 22-year-old man with stab wounds.

Police learned that an argument began inside the nightclub involving two men. Things soon got physical, and one of the men fled the scene after the victim was stabbed.

Investigators reported Wednesday afternoon that the man turned himself in to police headquarters.

The suspect faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
