Prescribed burns planned in March

Residents in west Windsor may see some smoke this month around the Ojibway Prairie Complex.

Prescribed burns will be held, specifically in the areas of Ojibway Park, Spring Garden Natural Area, and Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park.

All of the areas will be closed during the burns.

Nearby neighbours are encouraged to close their windows if there is smoke in the air.

Prescribed burns are done to maintain a healthy and diverse ecosystsm in the tallgrass prairie.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
