Park improvements planned for Tecumseh in 2025

Residents in the Town of Tecumseh will see improvements to multiple parks this year.

A tender has been awarded to complete $3.9 million worth of work at Lakewood Park South. The project includes an all-season washroom facility, a water feature, a natural amphitheatre with an entertainment pavilion and a food truck/event plaza area.

A splash pad, washroom, and multi-use court will be completed at Southfield Park. The work is expected to start later this year. The park will be closed during construction. This project is estimated at $2 million.

Improvements for Rocheleau Park include a new pathway, increased landscaping and naturalization, and improvements to the court for multi-sport use. The budget for this project is $150,000.

All of these projects were highlighted as part of the 2025 Capital Works Plan.
