Police search for car theft suspect

Windsor police are looking for a suspect involved in the theft of a vehicle and credit card fraud.

Just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a car was stolen on Huron Church Road near McKay Avenue. Investigators report the suspect entered the unlocked car, took a spare set of keys from the victim's purse and took off.

Police said the suspect then drove to a gas station in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Huron Church Road where he used the victim's credit card to make purchases.

The stolen vehicle was a white 2017 GMC Terrain with the license plate CVKM987.

The suspect is described as a Black man around 5'10" tall with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he wore a grey and black plaid coat, a camouflage sweater with the hood up, black pants, and black Nike shoes.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
