Two charged after sexual assault of a minor

Two men are facing charges after a teen girl was sexually assaulted.

According to police, the 17-year-old victim agreed to meet with a man she met on social media. She and her friends were picked up by a group of three men and driven to a house. Once there, two of the men locked the victim in a bedroom and forced her to perform sexual acts.

One suspect was arrested the day the crime was reported. A second suspect turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters the next day.

The 25-year-old and 21-year-old have been charged with forcible confinement and sexual assault.

Windsor police caution against sharing personal information or arranging in-person meetings with unknown people.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
