UPDATE: Puppy returned to owners after armed robbery

Windsor police are looking for two people after an armed robbery over the weekend in which a puppy was stolen.

Police responded to a robbery near College Avenue and South Street around 3 a.m. Sunday.

A teen was walking her four-month-old French Bulldog when she was approached by three people. She was threatened with bear spray before the group grabbed the dog and fled.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested and charged with robbery and assault later that day.

Police are still looking for two men involved in the incident. Investigators identified one suspect, and Windsor Police issued a warrant for their arrest.

The other suspect is a white man with a moustache who may be named Ethan. He was wearing a red hooded sweater and jeans.

The dog, Rustin, was returned to its owners on March 17, 2025. The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
