February housing sales cool in Windsor-Essex

If you were in the market for a new home in Windsor-Essex last month, you might have had a bigger inventory to choose from, but sales were cool.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors said sales in February dipped 12.54 per cent from last February.

So far this year, sales are down 10.12 per cent.

Realtors have closed deals on 577 properties so far this year, compared to 642 by this time in 2024.

Meanwhile, the association said market activity rose 9.48 per cent as 739 homes went on the market. Last February, the number was 675.

At the time the association published its report there were 1,359 properties on the market in the region.

The average price of a home also fell in February, down 3.97 per cent to $559,363.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
