Police found safe drivers this St. Patrick's Day

Most drivers were responsible this St. Patrick's Day.

The Windsor Police Service set up R.I.D.E program checks in several locations in Windsor and Amherstburg on Monday.

Officers checked more than 1,100 vehicles and administered 28 roadside tests. They didn't issue any warnings or make any arrests.

The LaSalle Police Service also set up R.I.D.E. checks in the municipality. Their officers canvassed 556 vehicles and conducted four roadside tests.

LaSalle Police charged one driver with operating a vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol, which resulted in a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
