Man arrested after brandishing firearm at Windsor bar

Windsor police have charged a 28-year-old man after he allegedly pulled out a gun at a bar on St. Patrick's Day.

Officers were called to the business on Tecumseh Road East after a patron was kicked out over an argument they had regarding their bill. After getting outside, the man reportedly brandished a firearm before fleeing.

After investigating, police identified the man and arrested him around noon on Tuesday.

He's since been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, five counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, and failing to comply with a release order.

The firearm allegedly shown by the man has still not been found.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
