Police cruisers vandalized overnight

A 53-year-old man is facing charges after multiple police cruisers were vandalized downtown.

The vehicles were parked on Goyeau Street when their tires were slashed overnight Tuesday.

When officers spotted the damage they reviewed video surveillance and identified the suspect.

Around 4:30 p.m. the next day, the man was arrested on Elliott Street and charged with four counts of mischief under $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
