Hit-and-run driver sought after pedestrian struck

Windsor police are looking for a driver involved in a pedestrian crash late Sunday night.

It happened just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of California Avenue and Wyandotte Street West. A pedestrian was trying to cross the street when they were hit by a silver or grey-coloured sedan.

The driver did not stop or try to help the victim, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the vehicle will likely have front-end damage.

Investigators are asking that anyone who was in the area at that time or with dashcam or security camera footage to share, to give police a call.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
