Man facing weapon charges arrested again

A 41-year-old man on bail is headed back to jail for allegedly violating the terms.

Windsor police say the man was charged in October 2024 on multiple counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition while prohibited and possession of stolen property.

He has also been accused of uttering death threats, criminal harassment, possession of a restricted weapon, and failure to comply with an order.

The man was released and ordered to live at an address in Kingsville as part of the conditions, but bail compliance orders learned that he had not been following those conditions.

Members of the Windsor Police Emergency Services Unit and the OPP-led Repeat Offender Patrol Enforcement (ROPE) Squad found the suspect on Ottawa Street near Kildare Road on Friday and arrested him.

He faces an additional charge of failure to comply with a release order.

The charges have not been proven in court.
