Windsor police arrest two men after allegedly stealing vehicle

Two men are being charged after allegedly stealing a vehicle in Windsor.

Police were called to a business on Wyandotte Street East on March 25 after an employee claimed their vehicle was taken.

They told police that two men entered the business, stole their purse, and then used the keys in the purse to drive away with the vehicle.

After reviewing video surveillance, the two men were identified.

Two days later, the first man was arrested at a home on Ouellette Avenue. The second man was arrested the next day in roughly the same area.

Both have been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and theft under $5,000.

The stolen vehicle was later found on Bruce Avenue and returned to its owner.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
