Two arrested after armed robbery

The Windsor Police K9 unit helped with the arrest of two suspects after an armed robbery over the weekend.

Just before midnight Friday, officers were called to a business on Cabana Road. Officers were told two men entered the store, took several beverages from the refrigerator, and tried to leave without paying. When they were confronted by an employee, one of the men allegedly pointed an imitation firearm at them and shot multiple pellets in their direction. The pair then took off on foot.

There were no physical injuries reported.

A search of the surrounding area was conducted and both suspects were arrested on Marlin Court.

An 18-year-old was charged with robbery with violence, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and discharging a firearm with intent.

A 17-year-old was also charged with robbery with violence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
