Man arrested in Kingsville violates bail conditions

One man charged with multiple intimate partner violence-related offences has been arrested for violating his bail conditions.

In June 2024, the 46-year-old faced numerous charges including sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement. He was put on house arrest and electric monitoring.

Police learned he violated his bail conditions this week.

On Friday, bail compliance officers and OPP-led Repeat Offender and Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE) located and arrested the man in Kingsville.

Police said a 45-year-old woman was arrested for facilitating a breach of release order.

According to investigators, the woman agreed to supervise the man while he was out on bail and was to ensure they comply with their release conditions.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
