Arrest made in Lakeshore collision

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 20-year-old from Stoney Point has been held in custody after a collision on Friday afternoon.

Few details have been released, but police say it happened at around 3 p.m. on the westbound County Road 42 on-ramp to Highway 401 in Lakeshore.

The suspect is charged with impaired driving, driving with an excessive blood-alcohol concentration, driving while prohibited, dangerous driving, obstructing a peace officer, possession of a Schedule II substance with intent to sell, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The charges have not been proven in court, and the suspect was due to have a bail hearing.

The suspect's vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence was suspended for 90 days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
