Unionized Caesars Windsor workers vote on new contract

Workers at Caesars Windsor who are members of Unifor Local 444 are voting on a new contract, reached last week just ahead of the strike deadline.

Ballots were emailed to members Tuesday morning. They have until 9 p.m. to vote.

Those who missed Tuesday morning's online presentation have another opportunity at 6 p.m., and union officials will be available to answer questions at the Unifor Hall on Turner Road.

Unifor represents 1,400 workers at the casino.

The last time they walked off the job was in 2018. They were on strike for six weeks.
