Windsor police seek suspect in series of retail thefts

Police have turned to the public for help identifying a man suspected of a series of shoplifting incidents in Windsor.

Few details have been released, but Windsor police say at least four incidents have been reported.

They allegedly took place at two locations, one near Devonshire Mall and the other in the area of Walker Road and Ottawa Street.

Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect and have asked the person to turn themselves in.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity should call Windsor police's Retail Theft Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4000. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
