Driver facing impaired driving charges

A driver is facing charges after a car struck a utility pole on McHugh Street Tuesday afternoon.

Windsor police were called to the collision just after 1 p.m. Witnesses told officers the car swerved over several curbs and struck a small tree before crashing into the utility pole.

No one was injured in the incident.

The driver was arrested on the scene and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
