Windsor Regional adjusts masking requirements

As the respiratory virus season begins to wind down, Windsor Regional Hospital is adjusting its masking policies.

Starting Monday, the hospital is ending its policy mandating masking within two metres of patients, but masking is still required in all areas of the hospital, depending on the needs of the patients.

The hospital continues to strongly recommend masking in its emergency departments, at the Windsor-Essex Cancer Care Centre and the Renal Dialysis Unit.

"Please note that we continue to support those individuals who still choose to wear a mask at any time," said a release from the hospital. "All individuals who put on a mask should use a hospital-issued mask."

Those are still available at all hospital entrances.
