Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries

A pedestrian is suffering from life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a vehicle on Huron Church Road Tuesday night.

Windsor police said they were called to the intersection of Huron Church and Tecumseh Road West around 9:30 p.m. Officers learned that a vehicle driving southbound on Huron Church hit a pedestrian who was in the middle of the street.

The 30-year-old was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene.

There's no word of any charges at this time.

The Windsor Police Collision Reconstruction Unit closed the road for several hours as they investigated.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has video footage of the incident is asked to contact police at 519-945-9645 ext. 7032.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
