Police investigating after stranger kisses child in Windsor park

Windsor police are asking the public for help to find a man accused of suspicious behaviour at a park.

Officers were called Thursday evening to Meadowbrook Park on the east end, where they learned that a person had taken a selfie with a two-year-old child and then kissed the child on the head.

The suspect was not known to the child.

The person was last seen sitting on a nearby park bench but was gone when police arrived.

The suspect is described as an East Indian or Middle Eastern male, 15 to 17 years old, 5’ 6”, and 140 pounds.

Police are asking residents and business owners in the area to check surveillance cameras for footage between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, and give them a call if they find anything unusual.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
