Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car on Little River Boulevard Tuesday evening.

Windsor police were called to the intersection of Little River and Bellagio Drive around 7:30 p.m. Officers learned that a vehicle travelling westbound on Little River hit a pedestrian.

The 71-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver stayed on the scene.

The area was closed to traffic for several hours while members of the Windsor Police Collision Reconstruction Unit processed the scene.

There's no word on charges at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
