High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Local health officials have continued to add to a list of possible exposure points for measles.The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) added two more potential points on Friday afternoon.The first is the Old Colony Mennonite Church, at 1521 Concession Rd. 4 West in Kingsville, on Sunday, April 13, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.The second is at Klassen Custom Fabricating Inc. at 5140 Ure Street in Tecumseh, on Thursday, April 17, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.The health unit has urged anyone at these locations to watch for symptoms of measles over the next three weeks, especially those who aren't vaccinated.The complete list of potential exposure points can be found on the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.wechu.org/your-health/measles-exposure-locations">WECHU's official website.</a>
